This is for those of you transferring eBooks to your Kindle. There have been a few changes with the eBook service. Signing into Amazon: From Southern Illinois Libraries on the Go, when you click on “Get for Kindle”, you will be directed to Amazon. You now can just click “Get Library Book”, you will be directed to the sign in screen and redirected back to your eBook. Before, it would just direct you to the Amazon home page.
Authors requiring you to use your cord: With some eBooks, the authors are now requiring you to use your cord to transfer the eBook to your Kindle. I have not seen any notice or note about this on the description page of the eBook you are checking out from Southern Illinois Libraries on the Go. You will first see the note on Amazon where you click “Get Library Book”. If you decide you do not wish to use your cord, just click “Get Library Book” and then return the eBook from the “Manage Your Kindle” area.
