Ignite Lab is the new name for Project Next Generation (PNG), a grant program designed for public libraries to mentor youth ages 10-18 in gaining life skills, developing skills to use various technologies, and engaging students in educational programs. Our library has participated in this grant program since 2001! Ignite Lab is open to all students in middle school AND high school.

Join us at the library for adult coloring as we gather around to enjoy coffee, quiet conversation, and a relaxing afternoon of coloring. Supplies will be provided, but you are also more than welcome to bring your favorite coloring supplies.

The library will be closed all day on Monday, August 10th for staff training.

Join Miss Emily for a short and sweet story time for babies ages 6 months to 2 years. Featuring stories, songs, rhymes, and play! After stories and songs, families will have time to play, socialize, and enjoy with the provided toys and activities.

Everyone is welcome to this no pressure activity! If you enjoy singing and having fun then this program is for you. We will have a mic available for those who would like to get up and sing, and song selection is totally up to the participants. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Open to all ages — no library card required!

The end of Summer Reading already?! We are excited to see our young readers at our Finale Party! Join us beginning at 5:00pm for games, a special scavenger hunt, snacks, and more, with a MAGIC SHOW starting at 6:00pm. Readers, turn in your booklets before or at the party to be eligible for the SRP Prizes!

Stop by the library as a local lawyer hosts a session of Lawyer in the Library! This initiative allows for free 20-minute meetings to assist you with legal coaching, document review, referrals to additional community services, and legal questions. Just bring any paperwork that relates to your legal matter. There are no fees or pre-registration, but time slots fill up fast as it is first-come, first-serve.⁠ You may sign up IN PERSON ONE HOUR before the first session begins.

The Summer Reading Program is wrapping up! Adults will meet up to enjoy snacks, discuss our challenge books, and win prizes. Whether you read one book, all nine, or anything in between, we would love for you to join us at our grand finale party! If you can’t make it to the party, please turn your challenge in by Sunday, July 28th for a chance to win prizes.

Thursday Night Book Discussion will meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM, with a community member leading a discussion on a book of their choice. Light refreshments are provided, and all are welcome. July’s discussion will be led by Lindsey Atkins as she discusses the newest Dan Brown book, The Secret of Secrets. It is not required that you read the book before attending.

JINKIES! This Scooby Doo escape room will be a collaborative program between kids and teens, best for ages 6-18. Join the gang to solve the latest mystery in Coolsville, the most infamous goons and ghouls are on the loose! Fred needs your help setting up the traps, Velma needs a set of hands to figure out the clues, Daphne needs an extra pair of keen eyes, and Scooby and Shaggy wanna know if you'll do it for a Scooby Snack?! Load up in the Mystery Machine and head to the Library for this free for all program with no library card required!

Join us for an evening of crafting without technology. There will be a variety of crafts to make including friendship bracelets, perler beads, and more! Adults only, please.
