Join us for the evening as we celebrate that the Harrisburg Library was recently able to place free pads and tampons in all of our restrooms for patron use as needed. This Period Party explores what menstruation is, how to prepare for it, and why it's not-so-scary. Plus, it is a great conversation-starter for parents! Join us at 5 PM as Diane Hopkins from Egyptian Health discusses Menstrual Health in a safe space. As the evening continues, take part in decorating your own period kit bag and filling it with supplies, and enjoy themed snacks and drinks, as well as educational demonstrations, books, and posters. We will be accepting period supplies donations during the event, but donations are not required in order to attend. This is an all-ages event that is geared towards tweens and teens, but everyone is welcome. No library card required.
